I will overwhelm 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Former twice world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the customary confrontation, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really happening.
